Rizz: Charm or skill at flirting and attracting someone.

Bet: "Okay / sounds good / I'm in."

Slay: To do something exceptionally well; look amazing.

Based: Admirably true to yourself, unafraid of others' opinions.

Ate: Did something extremely well ("ate and left no crumbs").
"She ate that outfit."
The ick: A sudden feeling of disgust that kills attraction to someone.
"He chewed loudly and I got the ick."
NPC: Someone acting robotic or without original thought (like a game background character).
"He just repeats takes, total NPC."
Bussin: Really good, usually about food.
"This pasta is bussin."
Ratio: When a reply gets more likes than the post it replies to, a sign the original was disliked.
"You got ratio'd."
Simp: Someone who does too much to win another's affection.
"Stop simping over her."
Ghosting: Suddenly cutting off all contact with no explanation.
"We had two dates then he ghosted me."
Drip: Stylish, fashionable clothing or overall look.
"Nice drip today."
Gaslighting: Manipulating someone into doubting their own memory or sanity.
"Don't gaslight me, you said it."
Cheugy: Out of date or trying too hard to be trendy.
"Those boots are a bit cheugy now."
Era: A personal phase or mood you're embracing.
"I'm in my fitness era."
W / L: A "win" (W) or a "loss" (L), a good or bad outcome.
"Free pizza? Big W."
Glow up: A big positive transformation in looks or confidence.
"Her glow up this year is unreal."
Gyat: An exclamation of surprise, often reacting to a large behind.
"Gyat, did you see that?"
Skibidi: A nonsense word that can mean good, bad or cool depending on tone.
"That was so skibidi."
Fanum tax: Taking a portion of someone else's food.
"He took a chip, classic Fanum tax."
Sigma: A self-reliant, independent "lone wolf", or simply someone who is cool.
"He eats lunch alone on purpose, real sigma."
Ohio: Something weird, cursed or bad.
"This whole day has been so Ohio."
Mewing: Pressing the tongue to the roof of the mouth to define the jaw, also a "hush" gesture.
"Cannot talk, I am mewing."
Menty b: A mental breakdown, usually said lightly.
"Three deadlines today, having a menty b."
Cooked: Done for, in serious trouble, or completely exhausted.
"I did not study, I am cooked."
Let him cook: Let someone keep going when they are doing something well.
"He is on a roll, let him cook."
Yapping: Talking a lot, often pointlessly.
"Stop yapping and get to the point."
Glazing: Praising someone far too much.
"You have mentioned him ten times, stop glazing."
Aura: Cool or reputation points you gain or lose by how you act.
"Tripped in front of everyone, minus 100 aura."
Lock in: To focus fully and get serious.
"Exams next week, time to lock in."
Clutch: Coming through at the crucial moment.
"You brought a charger? So clutch."
Salty: Bitter, resentful or upset.
"He is still salty about losing."
Shook: Deeply shocked or shaken.
"That plot twist left me shook."
Lowkey: Somewhat, or secretly.
"Lowkey want to leave early."
Highkey: Very much, openly.
"Highkey obsessed with this song."
Touch grass: Go outside and log off, you are too online.
"Been arguing online all day, go touch grass."
Cringe: Awkward or embarrassing.
"That was so cringe."
Bop: A genuinely great song.
"This new single is a bop."
Slaps: Of music, to be excellent.
"This track slaps."
Extra: Over the top, dramatic, doing too much.
"Balloons for a Tuesday? So extra."
Basic: Unoriginal or mainstream.
"Pumpkin spice again, so basic."
Boujee: Fancy, high-class or luxurious.
"Rooftop brunch, very boujee."
Flex: To show off.
"New watch? Nice flex."
Gas up: To hype someone up and encourage them.
"My friends gassed me up before the interview."
Hits different: Feels uniquely good or special.
"Cold water after a run hits different."
It's giving: It resembles or gives off the vibe of something.
"That outfit, it is giving main character."
Main character: Being the centre of attention or the hero of your own story.
"Walking to my own soundtrack, main character energy."
Rent free: Something you cannot stop thinking about.
"That comment lives in my head rent free."
Say less: "I understand, no need to explain further."
"Pizza tonight?" "Say less."
Stan: An obsessive, devoted fan.
"I stan that band."
Tea: Gossip or the juicy truth.
"Spill the tea, what happened?"
Understood the assignment: Did exactly what was needed, nailed it.

Unalive: Died, or to kill, used to get around content filters.

Valid: Acceptable, reasonable or good.
"Skipping the party to rest? Valid."
Snatched: Looking sharp, sleek and well put together.

Sheesh: A drawn-out expression of admiration or disbelief.
"You aced it? Sheesh."
Snack: An attractive person.
"He is a whole snack."
Caught in 4K: Caught red-handed with undeniable proof.
"Screenshotted the lie, caught in 4K."
Finna: "Fixing to", meaning about to or going to.
"I am finna head out."
OG: An original, an authentic veteran.
"He has been here since day one, total OG."
Lit: Exciting, wild or excellent.
"The party was lit."
Goated: The greatest, an all-timer.
"That film is goated."
Tweaking: Overreacting or acting irrationally.
"Ten dollars for a coffee? You are tweaking."
Pressed: Overly upset or bothered.
"Why are you so pressed about it?"
Vibe check: A quick read of someone's mood or energy.
"Monday morning vibe check: not great."
Yeet: To throw something forcefully, or an exclamation of excitement.
"He yeeted the ball across the field."
Fr: "For real", used to agree or add emphasis. Doubled as "fr fr" for extra sincerity.
"That movie was so long fr."
Ong: "On God", swearing that something is true.
"I'm going to bed early ong."
Ngl: "Not gonna lie", prefaces an honest or slightly awkward opinion.
"Ngl, that was mid."
Tbh: "To be honest", introduces a candid take.
"Tbh I forgot we had plans."
Smh: "Shaking my head", showing disappointment or disbelief.

Istg: "I swear to God", expressing frustration or seriousness.

Deadass: Seriously, "I really mean it". Can also be a question, "deadass?".

Bffr: "Be for real", telling someone to get serious or stop lying.
"You paid $300 for that? Bffr."
Periodt: Emphatic "period", meaning end of discussion, no argument.
"She's the best in the game, periodt."
Bestie: Best friend, or a friendly way to address anyone, sometimes sarcastic.
"Bestie, you cannot wear that."
Pookie: An affectionate nickname for a partner or close friend.
"Good morning pookie."
Baddie: A confident, attractive, put-together person.
"She showed up looking like a baddie."
Bruh: Expresses disbelief, disappointment or "come on". Gender-neutral.
"Bruh, you forgot again?"
Situationship: A romantic relationship with no clear label or commitment.
"We're not dating, it's a situationship."
Talking stage: The early phase of getting to know someone before officially dating.
"We're still in the talking stage."
Breadcrumbing: Giving someone just enough attention to keep them interested, with no intent to commit.
"He's breadcrumbing me, one text a week."
Love bombing: Overwhelming someone with affection early on to manipulate or control them.
"The love bombing was a red flag."
Green flag: A sign that someone or something is healthy or good, the opposite of a red flag.
"He listens, huge green flag."
Beige flag: A quirky, harmless or boringly neutral trait, neither good nor bad.
"He names his plants, beige flag."
Down bad: Desperate or lovesick, often embarrassingly so.
"He's texting his ex again, down bad."
Chronically online: So immersed in the internet that your views feel out of touch with real life.
"That take is chronically online."
Crash out: To lose your temper or self-control, to react recklessly.
"I'm about to crash out over this."
Cracked: Extremely skilled, usually at a video game.
"That kid is cracked at Fortnite."
Washed: Past your prime, no longer good at something.
"I'm washed at this game now."
Bot: Someone playing badly, as if a computer, or a person with no original thoughts.
"Stop playing like a bot."
Skill issue: A dismissive "that's your own fault for being bad", not the game's.
"Lagging? Sounds like a skill issue."
Cope: Deluding yourself to feel better about a loss or bad news.
"Saying it was rigged is just cope."
Copium: An imaginary drug you "huff" to cope with disappointment.
"He's on that copium after the loss."
GG: "Good game", said at the end of a match, or ironically when something is over/ruined.
"Servers are down, gg."
Pog: Excitement or "awesome", often as "poggers".
"New update dropped, pog!"
Sending me: "This is making me laugh so hard." Short for "sending me into orbit".
"That caption is sending me."
Screaming: A figurative reaction to something hilarious or shocking, not literal.
"He said WHAT? I'm screaming."
Secure the bag: To get the money or lock in a win or opportunity.
"Got the job, secured the bag."
Racks: Money, specifically thousands of dollars.
"That watch cost racks."
Fit check: Showing off or reviewing your outfit ("fit").
"Fit check before the party."
GRWM: "Get ready with me", a video format of doing your routine on camera.
"GRWM for a first date."
POV: "Point of view", labels a video filmed as if you are experiencing it.
"POV: it's Monday morning."
Girl math: Playful, illogical reasoning used to justify spending or choices.
"It was on sale so I saved money, girl math."
Roman empire: A topic someone thinks about surprisingly often.
"Cats in ancient Egypt are my Roman empire."
Demure: Understated, modest and classy, usually said ironically after the "very demure, very mindful" meme.
"Minimal makeup today, very demure."
Brainrot: Low-quality, addictive online content, or the mushy mental state it causes.
"These short videos are pure brainrot."
Looksmaxxing: Maximising your physical attractiveness through grooming, fitness or more.
"He's deep into looksmaxxing routines."
Mogging: Outshining or dominating someone, usually in looks or presence.
"He's mogging everyone in that photo."
Gigachad: An exaggeratedly masculine, admirable or dominant man; the ultimate "Chad".
"He fixed the sink in five minutes, gigachad."
Grindset: A relentless hustle-focused mindset, often mocked.
"5am cold showers, sigma grindset."
Pick me: Someone who seeks approval, often by putting others of their own group down.
"'I'm not like other girls' is such a pick me line."
Menace: A playfully troublesome or chaotic person (affectionate).
"That toddler is a menace to society."
Unhinged: Wildly chaotic or unfiltered, often used as a compliment.
"Her tweets are absolutely unhinged."
Feral: Wild, unrestrained or overexcited, usually affectionately.
"The fandom went feral over the trailer."
Peak: Excellent, the best of its kind. See also "peak fiction".

Cinema: Something so dramatic or great it feels like a film.
"That plot twist was pure cinema."
Real: Relatable or true. "So real" agrees strongly with a feeling.
"Naps over parties. So real."
Icon: Someone admirable, stylish or influential; high praise.
"She wore pyjamas to the meeting, icon."
Queen: A term of praise and support for someone, often a friend.
"You got the promotion? Queen."
Dogwater: Terrible or low-quality, especially at a video game.
"My aim is dogwater today."
Opps: Enemies, rivals or people who are against you.
"Can't talk, the opps are watching."
Chat: Addressing an unseen audience as if livestreaming, even in real life.
"Chat, is this real?"
Rizzler: Someone with a lot of rizz (charm), a smooth flirt.
"He pulled her number, certified rizzler."
Mother: A woman who is iconic, powerful or in charge. "She's mother."
"The way she runs that company, mother."
Serving: Looking amazing or delivering something impressively. Often "serving looks".
"You are serving in that outfit."
Devoured: Did something extremely well, "ate" and left nothing behind.
"She devoured that performance."
Boy sober: Deliberately taking a break from dating or pursuing men.
"I'm boy sober this year."
Clean girl: A minimalist, polished aesthetic of slicked hair and natural makeup.
